The first theme park attraction based on a reality TV show, the Fear Factor show replaced Spiderman Rocks in the Castle Theatre on the Upper Lot in January 2005. It currently runs seasonally.
The contestants in each show are cast from guests in the park that day. The casting office is opposite T2 3D behind the Globe Theater.
The technical design for the show was by Lexington Scenery.
The show closed on August 14 2008 to allow for Halloween preparations, then Creature from the Black Lagoon: The Musical. The exterior signage had been removed by September 2008.
