The basic facades of the streets of Little Europe can easily be redressed and supplemented to transform the street into any location around the world. Street signs, lamposts and other street furniture can suggest any time or place to the audience.

The current sets were built in 1967 as replicas of the old sets, following the devastating fire in that year which destroyed the whole area, including part of Spartacus Square..
