The row of houses in Baker Street was built for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (which was in production between February and October 2006). The sets (along with many other built for the Harry Potter series) were stored away at Leavesden Studios in case they were required again for later movies in the series.
The sets were redressed slightly for Sherlock Holmes but the bulk of the work was done by digital set extensions which placed the backlot sets inside a much larger, digitally created, vision of Victorian London.
