Kevin Smith-directed slacker comedy which ends with a wedding at the Jaws attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood. In the world of the movie, it's supposed to be Universal Studios Florida, but was actually shot at the Hollywood park.

The mall featured in the movie is the Eden Prairie Center Mall in Minnesota.

Two characters in the movie (Brodie and Quint) are named after characters in Jaws (1975) and there are numerous references to the comic book world and to other movies.

"It was an absolute dream," says producer Scott Mosier about shooting the Jaws scene at the Universal City Studios Tour. "At first they said no. Then a studio head said let them shut down the ride. We shot it in one morning on a floating raft."
