Van Helsing first appeared in 2003 when the Van Helsing walkthrough attraction opened. He could be found around the walkthrough building until 2006 when it closed. His valuable work protecting against evil creatures continued around the Upper Lot until April 1 2007, when the character was retired – the Van Helsing walkthrough was closed, and the cost of renewing the rights to use the Van Helsing likeness were too expensive. The actor who played Van Helsing can now be found playing Dracula (the irony…).
