The design of the studios was overseen by head of art and production services Simon Lamont and head of special effects Digby Milner, who together have worked on features such as the Harry Potter and James Bond franchises.
Stage
Internal Dimensions:
240 x 125ft of uninterrupted floorspace = 30,000 sq.ft.
Height: 35ft.
Access Doors: 38 x 25ft at front, 19 x 25ft at rear.
Two more stages of 15,000 sqft each are planned for next year.
Water Tank (now removed)
The water tank was removed around 2016
Elevated 3m above ground with a spill wall plus a deep centre section with an optical glass wall shooting platform. The elevation provides a 180 degree natural unobstructed horizon
Dimensions: 55.5×73.5ft = 4080sq.ft.
Centre Deep Section: 22x23ft = 506sq.ft.
