Construction phase: 2013 – 2016
Tuesday 23rd April 2013 was the official start date for the Wizarding World at Universal Studios Hollywood as following a 7-year negotiation between Universal and officials, LA County approved the studio plans for the upgrade, along with plans for two additional hotels and increased car parking facilites.
To make way for the Wizarding World, two large attractions were removed (The Adventures of Curious George (play area) and the huge music venue Universal Amphitheatre), and others were modified (Shrek 4D).
