Jungle / Lagoon
This versatile location includes a large lagoon with a shore-side cabin, roadhouse and barn. These areas are all connected by a dirt road and surrounded by verdant jungle of foliage. Originally built for Alan Ladd’s production of Santiago – this set can be a tropical paradise, murky swamp or lush forest. Since its original construction, the jungle has been used in productions as diverse as Camelot, Private Benjamin with Goldie Hawn, Fantasy Island, China Beach and numerous commercials starring alligators and frogs. The Roadhouse, barn and cabin have practical interiors. The Waltons House was originally situated here, but was moved in 1992 after a fire to the Warner Ranch.
The Lagoon can hold 270,000 gallons of water and is filled when required for production.
